Here is the latest on the Tideway Tunnel. The digging of the tunnel by the Tunnelling Machine between Hurlingham and the Acton Storm Tanks has now been completed and the Tunnelling Machine removed out of the shaft at the Storm Tanks. the process of lining the tunnel is now taking place. The contractors issue regular bulletins on the progress and the plans for future work - for example , if there is likely to be unusually heavy machinery being moved or working happening outside the usual hours. We have been told that householders whose subsoil was compulsorily purchased for the tunnel will be paid in the course of 2022.
